    Condition:
Considering all of the action this Davis crate apparently has seen, I would say that it is
still in good, stable, useable condition. If you examine the pictures closely, you will see its flaws, some water staining,
the printing on one side is more faded than the other, a grungy patina, exactly the kind of
    pièce de résistance
you want for an old crate.
There is some printing on one end of the crate, but I couldn't get a clear picture of it. Maybe you can.
    FYI:
The company was founded in New York City in 1879 or 1881 (both dates have been seen but the company used 1879 on mid twentieth century packaging) by Robert Benson Davis; located in early years at 112 Murrary Street - which included its early factory. The offices later moved to 15 Hudson St. and then 90 & 92 West Broadway (corner Chambers Street). Sometime in the World War I era, it moved it principal address to Hoboken.
    Approximate Measurements:
    18" x 12" x 8"
    Safe Shipping:
6-7 lbs. Because I have to use a shipping box that's 3780 cu in, I will ship UPS Ground unless
you prefer another method. It's expensive, but half the price of USPS. Sometimes eBay states the wrong shipping fee.
I will refund the difference if it makes that error.
    PLEASE READ:
I do my best to keep shipping cost as low as possible, but not at the risk of a shattered item poorly packed.
I never charge handling fees. I will combine shipping, but be aware with the inflated rates USPS charges for boxes
over 1728 cu in, combining fragile and heavy pieces will require, in most cases, boxes exceeding the 1728 cu in and then the
    shipping cost doubles.
I will always let you know ahead of time if your item exceeds the limit. I refund shipping excess
    when warranted.
    Please ask questions before purchasing.
That way you will know what you're getting and will be happy with your item.
Let me know if you need more pictures. I combine shipping.
