Vintage KC Baking Powder Butter-Eggs Advertising Sign
This is a great vintage advertising sign for KC Baking Powder.
The sign is advertising not only KC Baking Powder but also butter and eggs, as they are regularly used in baking.
This piece is a great example of both vintage advertising and black Americana.
. There are 2 spinning wheels on the back that allowed the store owner to present the price of butter and eggs, which changed every day back in the early days.
There is aging oxidation on the metal rivets that hold the spinning wheels in place.
There is a small tear on the right side of the sign and the lower left corner has a crease in it.
There are a few scuffs to the front of the sign but all of these signs of wear just add character to the sign.
The sign measures 14" wide by 11" tall.
CONDITION:
This KC Baking Powder advertising sign is in vintage condition.  In addition to the condition issues noted above, there is a yellowed patina to the sign and some overall signs of wear consistent with a used item of this age.  Overall, though, the sign is in really great shape considering the age (please see pictures for more details).
