Outstanding pair of two original Star Wars paperback books, published in 1977 (copyright 1976), written by George Lucas. The UK version published by Sphere is a first edition and remains in damn good condition, with expected wear due to age. The US version published by Del Rey/Ballantine is a little more beaten up, but completes a great pairing of books released in slightly differing formats (cover, font), but essentially the same content (text, pictures). The first edition is the obvious prize here, with the eighth printing included as a wonderful bonus to complete the set. Safely stored - proudly displayed on my Star Wars bookshelves - in a smoke-free home for the past few decades since I acquired them, these books are history and make great collectibles. Only parting with them as I urgently need to scale down my Star Wars collection in many areas. The only remaining question is why you haven't already smashed that 'Buy It Now' button. Unmissable.
