Black and White archival paper from the original negative. This photograph was taken by Joseph Menager in   1920.
Joseph Menager was born in Tucson, Arizona Territory on January 27 1887 and died at Prescott, Arizona on July 2, 1979.
He was the founder and owner of The Indian Oasis Trading Post established in 1908 and named Post Master of the Indian Oasis Post Office in 1909
in Southwestern Arizona. Indian Oasis
existed from 1908 to 1918.  This trading company was located adjacent to the then Papago Indian Reservation. He had a ranch and in about
1918 built Meneger's Dam in the southwestern corner of the Tohono O'odham reservation
.
He also constructed a private reservoir to replace having to haul water over 14 miles. He had mining interests in Southern Arizona and Northern Mexico. He photographed many Indian Events and Indian Life
