ANTIQUE G.ARNAUD S.M.I. L'EMPEREUR NAPOLEON III CACHOU & CARDAMOM AROMATISE EMBOSSED BRASS BOX *************** Just in from Estate Liquidation. We are pleased to bring you this antique French advertising tin/pill box. Manufactured circa 1865 by Paris druggist G. Arnaud, the tin originally held his 19th century breath mint concoction, known as "Cachou & Cardamom Aromatize". Pictured on the front of the tin is S.M.I. L'Empereur Napoleon III. On the reverse is the legend "For Correcting Breath, Paris" in the center, along with the makers I.D.:"Prepared Only By G. Arnaud. Cachou & Cardamom Aromatize". I could not find an example this nice. It was found buried in an old chest probally for well over a hundred years. The interior is clean as a whistle - take a good look at my photo's, inside and out. Some minor use little dings not bad at all . It's a lovely antique collectible piece, and is well preserved. MEASURES:1 1/2" DIAMETER X 3/8" THICK
