All-Original Vintage 1960s Tandy Science Fair Globe Patrol AM & Shortwave Radio!

In my ongoing quest to thin out my collection, I am or will soon be posting on Ebay a number of interesting old radios that I picked up over the decades in here in northern New England, and never got around to restoring or even testing. This one is a Science Fair Globe Patrol 4-band AM
and Shortwave radio, sold as a kit by Tandy in the 1960’s. I found this at an estate sale here in Maine many years ago and picked it up, and have displayed it on a shelf in my workshop ever since, though have never done a thing to it, including cleaning it. This set measures 9”w x 5.25”h x 4.5”d, and as you can see, is in very nice shape, with no cracks or chips in the case; it is all-original and complete. If you’ve been looking for one of these but were worried you’d never find one in such nice, unmolested condition, this is your lucky day! You will look long and hard before finding another like it. I offer it here with NO RESERVE – high bidder takes it!
I will ship this item ONLY within the United States. If you live elsewhere and are interested in it, please contact me BEFORE bidding so we can discuss the shipping charges, which can be very expensive outside the U.S. I ship once a week (whenever possible). Having received, over the years, some items that did not survive shipping, I always take care to pack very carefully. If you prefer, I will be happy to drop it off at a nearby UPS store and have it professionally packed and shipped at your expense.
