1964 SB CHEVY II V8 NOVA STD BORE 283 ENGINE BLOCK 3790721 A74 TANKED MAGGED 64

Description

You are looking at a 1964 Chevy II Nova 283 block. Block is cast # 3790721. The cast date is A74 which is Jan. 7, 1964. This cast # was used in 1964 as a 283 and bored to a 4 inch bore in 65 & early 66 for Nova 327 including L79. Block is stamped with suffix code DE which is 283 / 195 HP 2bbl PowerGlide Nova. This is still a STD 3.875 inch bore block. The bores look ok but plan on boring it .030 or turn it into a 327. This block has been tanked, magnafluxed, shot peened and given a clean bill of health. I guarantee this to be a good, usable block. These Nova blocks are hard do find. If you have been looking, do not let a good one get away.
