1943 Netherlands Antilles Censored KLM FFC - Willemstad, Curacao to New York

Description

An attractive, cacheted first flight cover for the K.L.M. (Royal Dutch Air Lines) route from Curacao to New York City via Aruba, Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba and Miami, Florida. Franked with Netherlands Antilles Scott #C23, the 35¢ Queen Wilhelmina Map of the Atlantic air mail stamp from 1942 which is tied to the cover by a Curacao, Willemstad postmark dated August 16, 1943. Official first flight hand stamped cachet in violet. Curacao censor marking below postmark. This cover measures 165mm x 93mm. See scans for condition.
